I know how behind I am on updates. Really there are three reasons:
1 - The Plague. We have been hit with all kinds of bugs - nasty colds and both adults have pinkeye (JJ is pinkeye free. We are puzzled).
2 - TAXES. Well, they are due. And I made a no blogging until taxes were done decision. I would rather do almost anything else, and blogging is way more fun.
3 - Well - um JJ is just short of two. She is a perpetual motion machine that requires a lot of care, feeding, and supervision right now. So, blogging just takes second place.
Not that it isn't important to us - it is something Mr. M and I do to keep family up to date.
But - other things get in the way.
I hope the make good posts below make amends in some small way! Please note - JJ IS GROWING HAIR! YEA. WAY fewer comments about the cute boy.
God Bless you one and all! We love you Uncle Mario and Aunt Roe, Aunt Susan and Uncle Dan, Auntie Cris and Grandma!

Yikes! It's been awhile since I've gone down my "Bloglines" - The Empress just requires constant attention.
Trying to decide which is better - taking 25 minutes to clean up while parent instructs child in such a fine art -or- doing it myself and getting it over with in 3 minutes - I've opted for the first choice since it's far more entertaining as I sip coffee on the LazyBoy.
The other day, MamaBe calls me from work and invites us (myself & The Empress) to dinner - in 30 minutes. The Empress had just bathed and was ready for the event. I, on the other hand, was particularly gnarly and undesirably grody (that's Irish, no?), had no time for a shower and put on some clean clothes and left for the restaurant. We met our party, ordered, and I sat there feeling like I was a pile of grunge and excused myself. No one saw that I was bringing along the diaper bag. I entered one of the stalls in the men's room, stripped down and took what I call an 'implied shower', consuming 18 baby wipes. Feeling quite a bit better, I returned to the table (after donning my dining togs, of course) smelling like a freshly powdered baby's bottom just as the food arrived. Such is the life of this HomeDaddy.
So jazzed that JJ's hair is coming in. Had the same thing with Joanna Mei and the boy thing. Some people are shy on brains - one such person kept referring to her as 'he' - I finally bottomed out and said "Yes. He prefers pink."
The Empress is a perpetual motion machine as well. I can deal with it just fine during the day, but do not relish the behavior once the sun goes down. She fights going to bed because she fears she'll miss something. Usually, a tickle fight until she finally caves does the trick. She conks out within minutes of the final bell.
Y'all can't look happier with JJ. What a fine looking family you make. How about putting your camera on delay sometime and getting a pic of the 3 of you together?
Signing off,
HomeDaddy
Yes it is hard to blog once home with our little ones. Glad to see you amoung the bloggers now. Thanks for the comments on our blog. Hope you are taking care of yourself as well.
Being a parent is so much fun, yet hard. In many ways I am so glad we waited to have children. At our age, we have somewhat matured and mellowed and we see the really important things in life.
Have fun today and Happy Easter.
