Welkomen a Solvang

So - for this years vacation we took a (reasonable 5 hours) drive up to Solvang in central California.

We had a great time in town.    We sort of left havoc in our wake, but hey . . . .

We found the cutest motel ever (really)

There was a swimming pool!

And the next day we drove up to get together with the family who also adopted from Inner Mongolia with us.  Mya is  about JJ's age.  The girls had a total blast!  There were three pools (and a spa) where Mya's family was staying and the girls played until they dropped!

 

 

Solvang was just super fun.  Too many pastries, but what a good time.

 Oh, we saw the Mission.

 

And the playgrounds were kind of unique too.
