JJ's Heart

Josie's heart isn't the only one in question.
I think we are all having a bit of "heart surgery" since introducing Josie into our family.

When she first came home the sibling rivalry was, shall we say intense?
But as Jose has bonded to us, she has also been bonding to JJ and vica versa.
When the parents aren't too close by they can play for a couple hours before war breaks out.  We can tell that between (decreasing) bouts of jealousy JJ is beginning to really enjoy having a playmate and sister.

Last night, as is our custom, JJ gave grace over dinner.  We then proceeded to do in the pot roast.  Suddenly JJ pipes up "I want to stop eating and pray for Josie LiNi's heart so it will heal faster."  So, we all stopped and folded hands and looked at JJ - who looks at us and says "you don't have to say it out loud you know!"

Right.
So we all folded hands and offered silent prayer.

This kind of maturity and compassion is one of the things we hoped for.  Yea!!

Quick, how do you spell "excellence"?

Nobody told me it was casual day . . .

We don't actually let them sit there when the truck is moving.
(PS - Josie pretty much idolizes JJ - she tries to do whatever big sister is doing.  Not always the best idea because JJ is taller, bigger and stronger, but  . . .)
