Looking East and West

The Christmas Heart . . .

We had a lovely Christmas.    We have visited our neighbors party for 20 some years (off and on), and this year we did so again.  It is actually their very large extended family and us - so we stay for a couple hours and visit then head home. It is a nice tradition for us.

LauLau and Auntie Cris came to visit for Christmas day.

The girls got lots of fun and pretty stuff  - everything from  party dresses and some light up princess shoes from our resale shop - the shoes for JJ match a pair of princess shoes I found for Josie there a while back - to games and small toys from friends and family.

The big gift was a couple plasma ride on cars found on Zulilly.  There were unhappy moments assembling, but once done both girls figured out locomotion quickly.
What's in here

Yes, it IS a tad warm for December.  Around 78.
They'll have fun fun fun till their daddy takes their plasma car's away . . .
But the best part was not what the girls received - it was what they gave.  They made hand made cards and greetings for everyone (and JJ is developing beautiful cursive handwriting by the way).

JJ had $7 saved up.  She divided it up and gave half to LauLau and half to Auntie Cris (I contributed a dollar to even it up).  Josie wanted very much to give as well, so she went to her room and picked out some of her favorite toys and books, put them in a bag and gave them to LauLau.

I couldn't be prouder of them if they won an Olympic medal. They have begun to develop a heart for giving.
Why does it always end this way?
