She had been my Grandmother's companion animal, and then she came to live with us.
Shortly after she arrived it became clear not all was well with her. We knew that she had a paralized hind quarter, but something else was off . A little checking and . . .
- She was also diabetic
- With a broken tail
- Blind in one eye
- and half those teeth needed to go
But it took another 9.5 years for Sable to use of the rest of her 7 lives.
She was both high strung and mellow at the same time - easily frightened but very very snuggly when she was relaxed. When the girls came home she adopted them as buddies.
It was her evelasting joy to be the only cat in the house for the last 18 months. She had her people all to herself!

She loved home and strolling in the back yard. She hated the vet. And she quietly wormed her tiny way into everyones heart.
She took a turn for the worse after our vacation, and just got tired and weaker each day. Our little snuggler was all of four pounds when she took her final trip to the vet.
Sleep peacefully tiny friend. See you on the other side.
