Looking East and West

Like cold water to a weary soul, so is good news from a distant land. Proverbs 25:25

Milestones of all sorts

So JJ now has the SSN - and we had to surrender her Certificate of Citizenship when we applied for a passport. I did not like that part one bit!

We will do her readoption when we get her 6 month homestudy update, then we have one 12 month update for China left.

We will also need to revise the wills and trust and . . . ah we will get there.

I start back to work on Thursday, and JJ has day care 2 days a week starting Thursday and Friday this week. So we are still getting our schedules set up, but we are getting there.

On the toddler development milestones - her language is exploding. She has words for Baby, book, shoes, mow (cat), bye bye, mama and baba - and signs for milk, more, car, cracker, wash, stars, and probably more I am forgetting she is now picking them up so fast.

Her fork skills and walking are moving along as well - and she is outgrowing all her size 5 shoes. I believe she has grown 3/4 inch, but since she never holds still that is a best guess. Her big thing right now is lego towers as high as she can build them. Baba really likes this game too. even the part where you knock them down at the end. She is still so small she has to half crawl up stairs, but she can if she wants to!

Right now little miss has a wicked cold - and shared it with me too. So she is not quite her usual sunny self.
