Happy Birthday to me
I just had my birthday, and to celebrate we went to my sisters cabin. We took a nice little low stress hike (about 1.5 miles) up to Heart Rock. Said Sister talked JJ into posing for this. The side effects included charcoal smears on everything.

We also went on a carousel - well sort of. Those things still seem to make JJ anxious. More accurately we approached the carousel but decided not to become too familiar.
That is so interesting about the carousel. Juju is also very anxious about those sorts of things. This summer she would have nothing to do with the carousel at the zoo. Joseph (adopted from China a year after we returned with Juliana) absolutely loved it. Juliana was terrified, she finally consented to sitting on my lap on one of the benches. She smiled a little at the end, but she still didn't want to go back for a second ride.
