We took our first trip to LauLau's house since we arrived home. (LauLau is maternal Grandmother).
It's a drive, but we try to go every 6 weeks give or take because we want the girls to really have a chance to know their family as much as possible. Auntie Cris lives near LauLau, as well as old friends so it is a good chance for us to catch up.
The drive wasn't a lot of fun ("are we there yet? Its such a long drive"), but the girls had a great time with LauLau and Auntie Cris, and my dear friend was able to visit and see little LiNi for the first time.
Half way through the visit LiNi paused, walked over to my mom, took her sleepe and announced "LauLau". It sunk in that we were visiting family.
This morning LiNi woke up an gave me a big grin and said "MaMa, LauLau's house" Which is about the most she has to say on anything, but she had FUN. JJ always has fun with LauLau - sort of a mutual admiration society there!
