It was a week of firsts

Josie had her first day at school.  

The all important Hello Kitty lunch box was packed the night before and she woke up quite promptly and dressed for her day. Breakfast and off they went.

 
 
Mr. M says her feet hardly touched the ground on the way into the building.

 There was a tiny glitch when the school office staff got confused about the immunization requirements for newly adopted children, but we got it all ironed out in 15 minutes and off she went.

She had a great day, came home and took an hour and a half nap.  Whew - normally she is a no nap girly.

We had the first eye exam for both girls.  JJ is great (we knew that), Josie may (or may not) be a tad far sighted but nothing serious.  We will watch and check next year

And of course there was this.

Oh yes they did.  Both of them  Actually they did the little one 3 times and the big one 2 times.  Of course Mamma was right behind little girl on that big dude both times, but I'm telling you JJ swarmed up that thing like it was a walk in the park and little girl followed giggling the whole way.

Well, the doc said no restrictions, right?

A kind friend bought us tickets that included the big kiddie toys, snacks and a ball game!




Right after the big slides we all walked over to the ball park and the girls got to see (part of) their first baseball game.

Just as tired as they looked

We watched a bit, went home and hauled the deeply asleep kiddos up the stairs and dropped them into bed.
