I put out an urgent prayer request last week.
Josie is an "allergic" kid - and the medications can provoke allergic reactions. Between the two it got very very bad. Bad enough we discussed PICC/Central lines as an option, because Josie was miserable and could not sleep. Plus the reaction was causing her body to reject sites too soon.
Praise God, she is holding her own. We were fortunate enough that Josie decided to have an allergic flare in MY allergists office, and my allergist was kind enough to look at her and offer advice.
We are not out of the woods, but it is better. We will be adding my allergist as a member of Team Josie. Hopefully we can get a handle on this.
