Someone is EIGHT

And she had a GREAT day.

LauLau and Auntie Cris took the train.  We picked them up right before lunch time and headed out to the restaurant.  We had a little extra time before our lunch reservation so we stopped at a small park and opened all the cards and gifts.

Then off to lunch.  This restaurant was picked because it overlooks the ocean.  But it turned out the food was pretty darn good.

Um- she meant to do her hair this way   

That part about overlooking the ocean?  Well somehow we didn't realize that meant a ramp down to the beach on the other side of Pacific Coast Highway.

We figured it out this time .  . . and we had sometime before we needed to be back on the train.  So IMPROMPTU BEACH DAY

Even if we didn't have beach clothes.  Or a change.  

Then we took LauLau and Auntie Cris back to the train - and because we have passes we stopped over at LegoLand for a bit.  They are already prepping up for Halloween.

No pics, but Josie got to ride a roller coaster she was denied last year because she couldn't remove her backpack and pump.  No pics, but I promise the smile was huge!

Then we got a bite and headed home.  

Just as awesome - we made Josie drink all day.  She thought she would float away, but she didn't get sick that night.  That is a bit unusual.
