Josie's heart is beating on its own.
The surgeon is fine tuning the pressures in her heart chambers to get the balance just right.
When he is satisfied all is as it should be Josie will come off the machine.
She will still be on the ventilator for a while - they will keep her on it until her lung pressures stabilize and look good.
